The traditional motifs

The Guanyin pendant depicts the bodhisattva of compassion, one of the most beloved protective figures in Chinese culture. The Laughing Buddha (布袋和尚) is traditionally associated with joy, contentment and good fortune. The peace buckle (平安扣) — a smooth disc with a circular opening — is among the oldest Chinese jade and stone forms, given between family members as a wish for safety. The Wushi tablet (无事牌), literally "nothing-happens tablet," is a smooth blank slate expressing the wish for an untroubled life. Each piece ships with a meaning card telling its story.
